AUSTIN-The filing period for two vacancies on the Education Service Center Region 13 board of directors is open through February 20.
Rich Elsasser, executive director of the education service center, announced that candidates may file on a board approved form, in person or by certified mail, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Engineering Day at the Science Mill
Learn tricks of the trade, basic principles of engineering and what a day in the life of a civil engineer actually looks like. Engineering Day activities are free with admission to the Science Mill. Engineering Day activities will run 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on February 15.

The Food Pantry is now located inside the new Blanco County Community Resource Center at 206 S US Highway 281. The Pantry will be open each Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, and on the 4th Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon.
Cooking Demo: Instapot
The Library will provide a free cooking demo on how to make many meals with an Instapot on Wednesday, January 29 at 5 p.m.

The Library will provide supplies for a 1920’s headband crafting session.
The Highland Lakes Democratic Women will hear from retired Border Patrol Agent, Roy Wilson, who will share his experiences at their January 23 luncheon and meeting at the Meadowlakes Restaurant in Marble Falls. Check-in begins at 11:15 a.m., lunch and the business meeting at 11:30 a.m., and the speaker will begin at noon.
Roy Wilson graduated Llano High School, 1965 and graduated from Texas Tech University.
