Residents are invited to “back the blue” at the start of the Aug. 1 Llano city council meeting.
Councilor Gail Lang has prepared a short presentation to honor the city’s police officers near the start of the meeting. The public is invited to attend the presentation, which will be held in the first few minutes of the meeting, which starts at 5:30 p.m.
A Kingsland woman was convicted in the death of her husband after a more than week-long trial that ended late Monday night in the Llano County Courthouse.

On Tuesday, at approximately 4 a.m., an officer with the Llano Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Sheffield Avenue. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver’s vehicle was searched, turning up over 73 grams of methamphetamine.

It was week four of summer camp and 400 campers were in camp, but the five from the Llano troop were the best.
