I have been the Supervisor of the Recycle Center for a little over 3 years. As the years go by, I have watched as the price of plastics fall lower and lower until many of the plastic items we take in have become worth absolutely nothing. In the last year, China has decided that it is no longer going to, “buy America’s trash” which has made things even harder. I have had four companies that used to take our recyclables go out of business in the past two years.
