The public water system of the City of Mason has reached, Level 1 condition recently, and the City Administrator John Palacio has implemented Voluntary water conservation measures. The Senior Coalition of Fredericksburg will host the 5th Annual Fall Harvest Health Fair on Tues., Sept. 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church (1800 N. Llano St.).
The Fall Harvest Senior Health Fair is open to the public for free, and senior citizens, caregivers and those with aging parents are invited to attend.

The Mason County Republican Women will hold their bimonthly luncheon on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 11:30 am in the Stribling Room at the Mason Library.
Members and guests will gather at 11:30 am for meet and greet with the luncheon starting promptly at noon.
Our distinguished speaker for the program is Suzanne Kidwell Conaway.
The Mason ISD Flu shot clinic will be on Friday, Oct. 5th from 9-12 and 1-3 p.m. at school.
Flu shot forms will NOT be mailed out. If you want your child to receive the flu vaccine, you can pick up the forms at the offices or print them off from our school website.
Permission slips are due by Friday, September 28th.
The Mason ISD Mentor Program is under new leadership. Shayne Smith recently assumed this role and will be teaming up with Julie Armstrong, Elementary and JH Counselor. Shayne has been an active participant in the program for the past seven years.
The mentor program has been a large influence in the lives of many students over the last 20 years.
The Mason Garden Club will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Stribling Room of the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library.
The program given by Hans Landel, program coordinator for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin will be “Invasive Species.” Hans is also involved with the Texas Invasive Plant and Pest Council.
This is the first meeting of a new garden year.
