Fredericksburg, TX - May. 5, 2018 - Auditions for FTC’s Summer Finale, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 9th and 10th, 2:00 p.m. at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, located at 1668 South U.S Hwy 87 in Fredericksburg. All roles are available. Attendance to technical rehearsals, August 6th through the 9th is mandatory, as well as attendance at all performances.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I miss my mom. I have been told by my grandson to rest on Mother’s Day and he will cook. I am looking forward to an interesting day.
The annual leaf party is in session at our house. Grandson John and I have been looking at them but have had equipment failures.

Mason Young Life is having it’s 7th annual car wash to help send kids to camp Saturday, May 5th on the South side of the square. As you can see in the picture we will wash almost anything! Please bring your cars, trucks, tractors, emergency vehicles and and bicycles out and we’ll give them a good rinsing.
All we ask for is a donation to help send over 20 kids to Frontier Ranch near Buena Vista, Colorado from June 3nd to the 10th.
Beckmann – Reimherr
Christianna Reimherr and Tyler Beckmann were married on Sunday, April 15, at a private ceremony held at the Beckmann Ranch at Harper. Rev. David Priem of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church conducted the service. A reception and dinner followed at Crossroads Steak House in Fredericksburg.
Christianna is the daughter of David and Jennifer Reimherr of Helotes.
The CASA quilting crew that meets once a week at St. Paul Lutheran have been very busy.
There are seventeen quilts of all colors and sizes in this second group and ten more stuffed animals, which brings the total of each, quilts and stuffed animals, to twenty-seven. But we are still a long way from reaching our goal of providing a quilt and an animal to each child that is helped by CASA.

The Hill Country Sheep & Goat Organization offered scholarships under two different sets of qualifications for 2018:
Graduate of a Hill Country county high school, accepted or enrolled at a Texas college/university/technical school, and majoring in an Agricultural field.
Child of an active Texas State Trapper, accepted or enrolled at a Texas college/university/technical school.
The scholarship application deadline was 4/15/18.
On Thursday, May 9, The MHS Pioneers will be presenting on their two ongoing projects at the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library, 410 Post Hill Street.
The program will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the students will speak about the Dark Skies Initiative and the Rainwater Harvesting Project. The Pioneers is a group of students who are learning to be leaders in their school and leaders in their community.
