Bri Bagwell, Texas Regional Radio’s Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years will headline the 2017 Heart of Texas High School Music Festival. The Peregrino Band from Mason will be opening the festival to be held on April 22, 2017 at Wau-Ban-See Ranch in Camp San Saba. Micah Walker, Mason County AgriLife Extension Agent for Ag and Natural Resources has announced the dates for the Hill Country Commercial Heifer Show and Sale as October 24, 2017. The event will be held in conjunction with the TSWCR Ranch Gathering. The Fifth Annual Darrell McCall and Friends Golf Tournament will be held at the Brady Municipal Golf Course on Friday, March 24. The tournament begins at 9:00 AM at 200 Brady Country Club Road. The event benefits the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. The golf tournament will consist of a four man handicapped team.
I was going to skip my raving about Daylight Savings Time, but I just couldn’t. It will be brief. You cannot save daylight. The Mason County Chamber of Commerce is starting a series of quarterly luncheon meetings for the Mason community. The premier session is scheduled for Thursday, March 9, 11:30 a.m. at the Richard P. Hill Country Memorial Hospice announces the 2017 schedule for its Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group for anyone affected by those conditions, their families and caregivers. The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group will meet on Tues., March 14 from 2-3 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Brune Building at 808 Reuben St.
The Seaquist House, located at 405 Broad St. in Mason, TX will hold its first public tour of 2017 this coming Saturday, March 4th. There have been a few changes made since last year. The tour hours are now 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. and the tours will run every half hour.
