Today is 42 and Dominoes Game Day at the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library, 410 Post Hill St., at 1:30 p.m. in the Stribling Room. Bring your dominoes if you have them and a partner if you can find one. Come join the fun! Everyone is welcome!
The Hollands! will perform in the Stribling Room of the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library, located at 410 Post Hill Street, at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 14. Admission is free. The Hollands! are a full-time, internationally-touring family based in the US via Australia and frolic in the Americana Folk revival scene.
Spring Break is in full swing. Grandparents in our community are excited to have their grands come visit. We have grandson, John. He found a list of jobs that Grandma needs done. He is a good sport and helps me so much. The Art United Methodist Church will have a special song service on Sunday, March 17, at the 11 am service.
I would like to address an invitation to my constituents of (District 2), as some of you may already know, the Mayor, City Administrator, City Commissioners have set up a series of workshops to address some of the issues that needs to be decided and agreed upon. We need to discuss and get a plan of action for the future of Mason. We were presented with a presentation at the last meeting that gave us good insight on a direction for our community.

The members of American Legion Fort Mason Post #285 & Ladies Auxiliary invite other veterans, friends and family, and anyone interested in the American Legion to attend our regular monthly meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the American Legion Post Hall on Post Hill Road (behind the Jail). Mark your calendars - Opening Day for Mason Youth Baseball and Softball will be on Saturday, March 23rd. Opening ceremonies will start at 9:30 am and first pitch at 10:00 am. Come early, hungry and stay all-day! We will serve a BBQ brisket lunch meal, which is our annual fundraiser event. We have 175 baseball and softball players this year!
On March 23 Steady Steps will hold a Golf Tournament and Dinner to raise funds for the continued operation of its pre-school, after-school and full day education programs , all centered on providing a nourishing Christian rooted environment for Mason’s youth. The Mason-Kimble-Menard Retired Teacher Unit will meet on Thursday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at the Kimble County Museum in Junction. It is located on Main Street and Hospital Drive. A $6 lunch will be served. There will be a presentation by the Historical Commission regarding the newly renovated Kimble County Museum.
