Max Eckert Hey slipped into eternity on September 22, 2021. With a final Taps being played, his flag-draped earthly vessel was honorably escorted from the Floresville Texas State Veterans Home, followed by his sons, Matt and Pete Hey. Members of the staff placed hands on their hearts and military residents from beds and wheelchairs, rising to stand, if able, saluted to pay final respects during the procession.
Thad Max Ziegler, devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, was called to be with the Lord on September 14, 2021. He was 93 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 12, 1928, to Thad C. Ziegler and Ruth M.
The tiniest thing that we adored was our mother and nana. Jeanette “Tiny” Thomas, 76, passed away with her children and daughter in law at her side on September 1, 2021. Tiny was born on July 13, 1945 in Oakland, California. She was the only child of Lois Dearing. She married Bobby Joe Thomas on March 7, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
George Stephen Lawrence, age 62, of Brady, Texas passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in San Angelo, Texas. Steve was born November 8, 1958, in Brady, Texas to William Bluford Lawrence and Velma Louise (Young) Lawrence. He was a 1977 Brady High School graduate. He was a member of St.
Kenneth Max Brandenberger, 79, of Llano, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. Brandenberger was born in Mason on September 5, 1941, to Dayton Charles Brandenberger and Nila Lee Bode. He was a fifth-generation descendant of the original families that settled in the area. Growing up in a ranching family in Mason, Llano and San Saba counties, he and his brothers showed several winning 4-H and FFA livestock projects, including many champions at San Antonio and Houston.
Curtis Bankston, age 67, of the Ater community, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family, on Monday, September 6, 2021, in Gatesville., Texas Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Ater Cemetery with Pastor Cody Haines and Graves Wallace officiating.
Sidney Louise Dickson, 83, of Austin, TX, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021, and will be laid to rest in Sanderson, TX. She immediately brought joy and laughter into the world when she was born in Austin, TX, on September 29, 1937, to Sid and Mary Frances Harkins of Sanderson, TX. She graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy and the friends she made there were among those she cherished through her entire life.
Lena Jane Bankston, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2021. Lena Jane was the only child of Daniel John and Lizzie Starks. She was born on March 2, 1928, in the house she lived in the last forty years of her life in the Ranch Branch community.
Erminia C. Reyes, of Brady, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, at the age of 76. Mrs. Reyes is survived by her husband, Augustine Reyes of Brady, and nine children: Irma Martinez of Brady, Florina M. Hernandez (George) of Fort Worth, Delores Miranda (Joey Petty) of Stephenville, Jo Ann Flores (Jesus) of Brady, Noe Martinez (Angelica) of Brady, Elida Torres (Avelardo) of Hico, Amos C.
Don C Townsend Jr. of Mason, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the age of 74. Don was born in Houston, Texas on September 27. 1946 to Don C. and Lillian Erb Townsend. Mr. Townsend is survived by his wife Dorrett Brown Townsend, step-sons and their wives, Josef and Tammy Pinter of Mason, Kurt and Martha Pinter of Kingwood, Texas, and much beloved grandchildren Elijah, Natasha, Benjamin and Nikole.
