Bobby Joe enjoyed rodeo, team roping, ranching and spending time with family.
Brenda G. Durst, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, at the age of 80. Brenda was born on July 21, 1940 to Benjamin Franklin Grimsley and Clara Vater Grimsley.
Brenda was a graduate of Mason High School and The First Mason Coronation Queen. A true beauty! For 32 years, Brenda owned and operated Benji’s on the Mason town square.
Deborah “Deb” Pate, 66, of Rosanky, Texas passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of Monday, July 5, 2021 from complications following a recent heart surgery. She was born on the 10th day of January 1955 in Brady, Texas to parents Billy Dale and Velma Jane (Woodford) Moseley.
Deb never shied away from new adventures.
Johanna “Johnni” Rossing, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, July 10, one day short of her 88th birthday. Johnni was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 11, 1934 to Walter William Alschlager and Bernie Jewel Nolan Alschlager.
Johnni was first married to William F. Elton and after he passed away she married Irving “Irv” Rossing.
Janet Elizabeth Canfield of Fredericksburg passed away on July 1, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born to John “Jack” Stradinger Jr. and Jane Howard Stradinger in Wharton TX on September 10, 1943. She married Thomas Hale Canfield on February 13, 1965 in Bellaire TX.
She is survived by her husband Thomas H.
Lola Fay Kruse Hohn of Mason, Texas passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age of 86. Lola was born March 29, 1935, in Brady, Texas, to John William and Veda Ruth Butler Kruse. She graduated from Mason High School and Southwest Texas State Teachers College, where she met and married Henry Joseph Hohn on July 9, 1955, in Mason.
Henry and Lola raised eight children who all attended and graduated from Mason ISD and all successfully received college degrees.

Janet Hayes Keller, age 84, passed away peacefully in her home June 23, 2021. She was born February 19, 1937 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, to Mabel and William Hayes.
Jan grew up in Canada where she learned to play the piano, ice skate on the frozen lakes and tap dance across stages.
Ronald “Ronny” Dale Frenzel passed peacefully on June 7, 2021 in San Antonio TX, after a battle with renal failure. Ronnie was born to Carl Theodore Frenzel, Jr and Willie Pauline Henrich Frenzel on September 20, 1944 in Brady, Texas.
Ronny attended Mason High School and was very proud to call Mason his home.
