Jimmy Lloyd Wagner, of Paint Rock and formerly of Mason, passed away on Sunday, August 22, at the age of 72. Mr. Wagner is survived by his sister Betty Lyon of Paint Rock and his brother John Wagner and wife Ann of Abilene. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Jerssie Faye Weaks and Mauvoreen “Reen “Troutt.
Jimmy was born in Mason on March 5, 1949 to Lloyd Peter Wagner and Arlene Cavaness Wagner.
God called Ronald Roy Binion home on August 10, 2021, at the age of 88. Ron was born June 5, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Murry Binion and Jessie Ivison. The family moved to Sayre, Oklahoma a few years later. He attended the Sayre schools and graduated in May 1952.
Weasie Lange joined her husband in eternity on August 8, 2021. She was born on November 27, 1928 on the Campbell Ranch in Mason County to Charlie Capps and Marie Deans Capps. She was raised in Voca, Texas by her grandparents, Charlie and Lula Deans. Weasie attended Mason High School.
Roy Lee Pfeil, of Mason, was called home by God on Thursday, August 5, at the age of 56. Roy was born in Fredericksburg on January 26, 1965 to Leroy Harry Pfeil and Maurine Elizabeth Edwards Pfeil. He attended school in Fredericksburg and lived there until 1997, when he became a full-time resident of Mason.
Evelyn “Jo" Davis of London, TX went to be with our Lord on Aug. 3, 2021. She was born on May 15th, 1939 in London, TX to J.V. Welch & Mary Thelma Proctor.
She was preceded by her husband, Henry Davis Sr.; her sisters, Virgie Robbins and Dean Wimberley; and her brother, Clifton Welch.
She is survived by her sisters, Opal Childress and Janet Dawson; her children and their families, Darla & Russell Thompson, Henry Davis Jr., Phyllis Davis and Vernon & Reba Davis.
Nathaniel Harold Jordan entered his heavenly home and reunited with his loved ones on July 31, 2021 at the age of 90.
Nathaniel was born on October 16, 1930, to Marvin and Hattie Jordan. He was born in Hilda, TX then later moved to Art, and was raised on the family ranch that borders Willow Creek just south of Art in Mason County.
Gary Lee Garner was born on Sept 6, 1940 in Mason, Texas to Henry Melvin Garner and Ima Faye Allen. He passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Gary first attended school in Streeter, TX. After one year he rode a bus to the school in Mason. His grandfather would sometimes be plowing his field in the afternoon.
James McCall Poynor went to his Heavenly home on July 21, 2021 at the age of 93. James was born on December 15, 1927 to Thomas Clyde and Annie Lorena (Huffman) Poynor in Brady, TX.
Formal education began in Fredonia Public School, and he graduated from Mason High School in 1945.
Michael Ray Taylor lost his battle with a long term illness on July 22. He was 59.
He resided in Mason for the past 18 years having spent most of his life in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from R. E. Lee High School.
He led a pretty busy life having a wide range of jobs over the years but enjoyed being a “roadie” with big name entertainers, the one he enjoyed the most.
