Basketball season is in full force now for both the Panthers and Lady Panthers. The Blanco varsity boys are off to a 3-0 start, while the Blanco varsity girls are 4-2.
The Blanco FFA Senior Chapter Conducting team advanced to the AREA VII LDE contest that was held virtually the week of Nov. 16-20. The team advanced past the Hill district contest and competed well at area. Also, the Blanco FFA Radio team advanced to the Area VII LDE contest that was held virtually the week of Nov.

In their season opener Tuesday, Dec. 1, the Panthers powered past the Johnson City Eagles 82-26. The Panthers outscored the Davenport Wolves, 64-55, on Friday, Dec. 4. Davenport is a new high school in Comal ISD in Garden Ridge.

The Blanco girls basketball team picked up a 50-40 win at Wimberley on Monday, Nov. 23.
The Lady Panthers led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and 20-18 at the half. They stretched their lead in the third quarter, scoring 16 points to Wimberley’s nine. This seven-point gap gave Blanco the necessary lead for the win.

Industrial was the winner of District 28-3A and the number one seed from that district. Blanco was the runner-up in District 25-3A and the second seed from District 25. Both teams advanced to area with bi-district wins.
Industrial took the first set 25-17.
Evelyn Trammell, Blanco sophomore, competed at the Region IV UIL Cross Country Championship Meet Monday, Nov. 9. Trammell placed 48th of 130 runners with a time of 14:23.24. The meet was held at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
