The Johnson City Young Life group is raising money to send High School students to Young Life camp at Crooked Creek, Colorado.
Saturday, June 9th there will be a car wash at Lowe’s Market in Johnson City from 11 – 2. Donations will be accepted.

May 5, 2018 Fun with Chemistry
Join the Science Mill for a day dedicated to women in STEM. Fun with Chemistry featuring the UT Women in Natural Sciences group will be on site with hands-on activities and shows. These hair-raising, mind-melting experiments will blow you away! All activities and shows are free with museum admission.
Blanco County Aggies will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday April 21, at the Back Forty Dance Hall to observe Muster. According to information from the organization, Muster is a tradition “dear to all Aggies” and commemorates fellow Aggies who have passed away since last year’s event. Blanco County Aggies will enjoy a social hour and dinner.
March 8, local Real Estate agents from Blanco and Johnson City united! They held their first meeting to talk about ways to work together, start local tours in Blanco County, what all they could do to help promote their listings, help their buyers, ways to advertise, general real estate practice discussed, possible articles from us for the newspaper, and more.
Their next meeting will be March 27 8 a.m.
Make plans to pedal your bicycle through the historic LBJ Ranch and along peaceful country roads on Saturday, March 24, during the 11th annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Ride. The ride begins and ends on the LBJ Ranch near Stonewall in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Cyclists will launch from the ranch’s airstrip at 9:00 am (the ranch gate opens at 7:00 am) and choose routes of 10, 30, 42, and 62 miles.
Former Texas Rangers host “Celebrate Texas!” to honor Texas History Month
The Former Texas Rangers Foundation brings “history to life” with Celebrate Texas! 2018 on Saturday, March 17th. From re-enactments to cannon firing demonstrations to Comanche & Lipan Apaches, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family! Open to the public and held at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center located at 1618 East Main Street in Fredericksburg for just a $10 parking fee/vehicle.
The 2018 scholarship season is underway for Blanco County Aggie Freshmen.
Each year the Blanco County Aggie Moms and Blanco County Aggie Club jointly award scholarships to incoming freshmen from Blanco County. To be eligible to apply students must have been accepted as full time students to either Texas A&M Main Campus or Texas A&M-Galveston for 2018-19.
The scholarship application can be completed online, printed, and turned into the school counselors at Blanco High or LBJ High.

There is an organization meeting in Blanco that welcomes friends and families of alcoholics and other substance abusers.
The Dessert Extravaganza and Bingo sponsored by the Johnson City Women’s Civic Club, is revealing the raffle ticket prizes donated by community members.
