Congratulations to Lori Weirich Frederick and Tracy Tolbert. They were married on June 24 in a double wedding ring ceremony at the Johnson Settlement. Tracy’s sister, who is a judge in Burnet County, officiated. His son, Brennon, was best man and Lori’s daughter, Mikayla Frederick, was maid of honor. The reception was held at the education center with a delicious bar-b-que dinner that was followed by a dance.

Kelsey Heavner, 21, of Johnson City graduated from the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 159th Highway Patrol Training Academy on June 16. She will soon make her move to Odessa where she has been stationed. Her first day on duty will be July 9.

Kids’ Lunch Club returns this summer
When school is out this summer, the Kids’ Lunch Club will be back to provide free nutritious lunches for children.

Thirty-two people celebrated Christmas/New Year’s at the Pecan Street Brewery on December 29. The group included members of the classes of 1959,1960 and 1961.
These folks also celebrate with monthly luncheons held on the last Tuesday of every month.
