Many folks have seen the large banner on the Highway 29 side of St. Paul Lutheran Church: “Celebrating the Reformation—500 Years of God’s Grace in Action—1517 to 2017.” Surely many are asking, “Well, what’s the Reformation?” Adults and children of St. Paul Lutheran Church will present the first of 5 chancel dramas called Papa Luther beginning this Sunday, August 20, during the 10:45 AM service of worship.
Over the summer 8 members of St Joseph’s Catholic Church youth group along with 3 sponsors had the opportunity to attend a Catholic HEART Workcamp (CHWC) in New Orleans, LA. Catholic HEART Workcamp is about SERVICE, CONNECTION and LOVING OTHERS. Our teens joined other Catholic teens from all over the country to help restore homes in the Ninth Ward and St.
River Kid’s will be performing their summer play, Not Your Average Joe, on Saturday, August 26th at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 27th at 10:30a.m. in the sanctuary at River of Life Church at 217 E. River of Life Church invites you to join us for our Easter worship services to celebrate the glory of Jesus Christ and the freedom we have through faith in Him! In preparation for Easter, we will have Passion Week (the week prior to Easter) services Monday through Friday from 7-8 p.m.
Hilda United Methodist Church invites everyone to its annual Easter Sunrise Service this coming Sunday at 7:00 a.m. (the sun will rise around 7:25 a.m.) in front of the John Brandenberger home on Loeffler Ln. Please bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. Following the service will be a continental-style breakfast in the Hilda Fellowship Hall to which everyone is invited also. Last Wednesday, St. Paul Lutheran began our journey to the cross with Jesus with our Ash Wednesday worship service. Our message was a chancel drama entitled “Why Do We Wear Ashes”? St. Joseph’s Youth Group are hosting a pancake brunch fundraiser on Sunday, February the 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph’s Parish Hall. We will be making pancakes with your choice of topping. Our youth group will be your pancake flippers for the day. Please come join us. We are raising funds to attend many activities.
