River of Life Church is hosting its fourth annual senior angel tree! The last few of years has seen great success in meeting the needs of a humble group of individuals: our senior citizens. Most of the senior citizens live on a fixed income which may barely cover necessities such as shelter, medication, and food.
Come and celebrate the warmth and beauty of the season with St. Paul Lutheran Church and the annual presentation of The Journey to Bethlehem Drive-Thru Christmas Luminary. The Christmas Luminary is set for December 10 at Fort Mason City Park, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. There is no backup date this year.
Advent is both a celebration of awaiting Christ's birth and the anticipation of the coming of Christ's kingdom when he returns. As we celebrate this Advent season and the coming Christmastide, the First United Methodist Church invites you to join us on the next three Wednesdays (December 6, 13 and 20) from Noon until 1:00 o'clock for music and a short message in the Sanctuary; and, lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Music on December 6 will be provided by Scott Zesch and Lori Slocum.
This past Sunday, Nov. 5th, the Mason Community once more came together and mixed up: Family, Fellowship, Food and Friends! St. Joseph Parishioners extend a big “Thank You” to everyone for their wonderful support of the Annual Mexican Dinner. It was a Super Success! Jane Vargas, Isabel Rivera and Letty Velez; plus, their Faithful Team of Workers either spent hours in the kitchen in order to serve another outstanding meal or spent hours in their own kitchen baking the delicious desserts. ...
Sunday, Nov. 5th, after worship, St. Paul Lutheran dedicates a county historical marker for the little Sunday School Building across the street at the park. The building cornerstone is dated Jan 11, 1917. A special congregational meeting met in the building on Mar. 15, 1917, to vote on releasing Pastor Carl Ziehe to got to Maxwell as pastor.
St. Joseph’s parishioners invite you to mark your calendars for Sunday, November 5th; this year’s date for their Annual Mexican Dinner. Serving will begin at 11 AM in the Mason I.S.D. Cafeteria on College Street. You may “Eat In” at the cafeteria and enjoy visiting with other diners or you may request “Take Out”. Each plate is $10.00 and the meal consists of enchiladas, beans, rice, salad, tea and a dessert.
Inviting Students from Surrounding Communities to be Held on October 14th (Mason, Texas) - students from around the Mason Area invite students from surrounding communities to share their Christian faith with fellow students during our 2nd Annual National Fields of Faith Event. This interdenominational outreach event will be held in over 500 locations throughout the nation. Fields of Faith is structured as a student-to-student ministry.
Where - 611 Hawkins St. When - Sunday, September 24th, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Topics - How did we get here? Where are we prophetically? What happens next? Bible studies will begin on September 24, 2017, at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.. This will be a six-week seminar, divided into three two-week periods. Please bring a King James version Bible, or a New King James version. We will supply you with a Bible if you need one, and we will have notebooks and pens.
Adults and children of St. Paul Lutheran Church are continuing a series of chancel dramas called Papa Luther which celebrate and tell the story of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation of the Church, which began in 1517, in Wittenberg, Germany. “God’s Word is Alive!” is the title of the drama which will be presented during the service of worship this Sunday, September 10, at 10:30 a.m.
“Vivir como discípulos misioneros” es el tema del programa de catequesis de este año en la diócesis de Austin. La Iglesia Católica San José comenzará su programa de Educación Religiosa para el 2017-18 el domingo, 3 de septiembre, con la preinscripción después de la Misa en el Salón Parroquial. El domingo, 10 de septiembre, las clases comenzarán con una divertida actividad grupal y el canto dirigido por el Grupo Juvenil San José.
