Twenty-one players and alternates travelled to College Station last Thursday and Friday to compete at the UIL State Tennis Championships. Mason was represented in all five divisions and captured gold medals in four and brought home medals in all five. Mason captured gold in every division except the ever tough boy’s singles.
For those of you who may have missed the Tournament on Saturday, you missed a real, good time! We had great weather; a great turnout of players; and a bunch of great prizes were passed out to everyone who participated. A couple of teams came in with scores of 20 under par, and a couple more teams posted quite respectable scores as well. A special “Shout Out” is in order for Sean Reardon, who worked very hard before, during and after the event to make sure everything went smoothly.

In the second game the Punchers jumped out ahead in the bottom of the 1st 2-0.

When these three commissioners voted to rescind the approved Hazard Mitigation Plan at the last city commissioners meeting they deprived the city staff of additional tools, data and funds to protect me, my neighbors and friends.
City Action I was taken back by the lock-step response by three of the five City Commissioners to rescind a previously approved Hazard Mitigation Plan at last Monday's city commissioners meeting. Commissioners Sue Pledger, Bonnie Beam and the newly elected commissioner, Vickie Enrique, took it upon themselves to discount the information presented by Mickey Reynolds of the Texas Colorado River Floodplain Coalition (TCRFC) and the hundreds of hours the City Staff have spent outli ...
