Mrs. Mary Odessa Dannheim of Mason passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the age of 99. She was born in Pontotoc, TX, to Bert and Kathryn Durst Holloway on December 16, 1917. She married Gilbert Willard Dannheim on April 8, 1946, in Lampasas, TX. She is survived by her daughter, Shauna Crain and husband Randle of Kingsland, TX; sister-in-law, Wanda Holloway of Llano, TX; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nieces and four nephews. Nellie Kuhlmann Mills, age 94 of San Antonio, was called home on Monday, May 22, 2017. She was born December 4, 1922, to Alfred and Rosa (Jacoby) Kuhlmann in Mason, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 38 years, Marshal Mills. Nellie is survived by two brothers, Clayton and Dayton Kuhlmann; sister-in-law, Oleta Kuhlmann; son, Gil (Rosanne) Mills; two daughters, Marsha (Edward) Schroeder, Pam (David) Kempen; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and ne ...
Jerrell Dan Sagebiel, passed away at age 67, in Cameron on May 20, 2017. He was born in Germany on October 2, 1949, and came to Llano County at the age of 2 years old, where he was adopted by Hatty and Dan Sagebiel, of Castell and later was joined by his sister Jannelle Sagebiel. Jerrell excelled at FFA and 4-H programs in LHS where he graduated from Llano High School in 1967. Jerrell is survived by three sons, Marc, Daniel, Justin, a nephew Brandon Castro.
Darrel Dean Kothe of Harper, Texas passed away on May 21, 2017, at Knopp Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Stanley Kothe and Olga Woerner Kothe on August 28, 1952. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Kramer, in Harper, Texas, on July 27, 1974. Darrel grew up in Cherry Springs attending the Cherry Springs School where he spoke mostly German as a youngster.
Charles Henry “Jay” Partin, 96, passed away at his home in Calf Creek, TX surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Pappy, as he is known by most, was born on October 3, 1920, near Center City, TX, to Charlie Greene and Sara Elizabeth Harris Partin. He grew up and graduated from Priddy in 1939.

City Votes Dear Gerry: I had a visit with Vickie Enrique, the commissioner with “one day’s experience” representing District 4. I asked her how she prepared herself before taking her seat on the Commission. She told me that she had spent considerable time researching the matter of the Mitigation Plan and had many visits and conversations with a lot of people in her district.
