Some of them are large undertakings that will require a good deal of time and planning, and others are on a smaller scale and we can all see the progress right away. If you travel some of the roads on the north side of town you will notice that there has been some paving happening.

On Friday night, the small number of Mason fans who had made the long drive up to Comanche watched the transformation of the Mason Puncher varsity football team. They began the night as the good team they've been all this season, and they ended the night by becoming the great team they have had the potential to be. During the first quarter, the Punchers kept the Indians from moving down the field, shutting them down time and again.

The Sonora Broncos welcomed the Mason Punchers on Friday night, and they were ready to give the Mason boys a night of great football. Sonora took the opening kickoff; but, even though they didn't lose yardage, they couldn't quite push through the Puncher defense to even come close to scoring. The Punchers took over deep in their own territory; and the Broncos went toe to toe with Mason, allowing them very little yardage.
