Everyone here knows that in Mason spring brings wildflowers and many enjoyable events to attend. One of these was the Mason Square Museum’s “Night At The Museum” hosted by the Board of Directors on April 10th, to honor the tireless efforts of the Museum’s docents. Approximately 70 people enjoyed a beautiful evening with fabulous food coordinated by Amelia Zesch, tasty wine, and fun fellowship.

The Mason JV Softball girls kicked off their season in March with an outstanding win over Christoval, beating them 18-5. Munsell was pitching. With two strike outs and a great play by Fisher, Christoval only scored 1 run in the first inning. Munsell, Guice, Gleghorn, and Fisher all scored in the first inning when up to bat.

The Jr Punchers competed in the Puncher Open last Monday. Over all they played very well considering they have only been at practice for two weeks. This year, because of testing, we had to move their tournament schedule up two weeks. Mason, Texas- Mason County Habitat for Humanity dedicated its seventeenth home in Mason on Friday, April 20, 2018. Construction began in December of 2017 when a crew poured the foundation. The Mason Lions Club met for its weekly meeting on Tax Day, April 17. Thirty-one members and two Mason High School seniors attended. Breana Nail told members after graduation she plans to attend Angelo State University next fall to study for a career in nursing. Mason’s Clint Lane, a Mason County 4H member, recently traveled to Tucson, AZ to compete in the National Sporting Clays Association’s 2018 US Open Sporting Clays Tournament and brought home a strong 2nd in his class. Competitors faced shooting clay targets in 35+ mph winds, with some gusts topping 60 mph.
