Thousands of children are walking out of school to call attention to the need for gun reform. American children are afraid to go to school. Let that sink in. American children are afraid to go to school. Maybe not in Mason. I don’t know. I hope not. I have grandchildren in Dallas and Denton; cities with far more potential for gun violence.

Unbelievable! The turf war between the petsitters and the pet boarders has commenced.
I'm not touching this one with a ten foot pole. I just wonder when I will be able to stop laughing.
These are two good options that are available locally. Caring for pets is not a one size fits all propisition.

Last week I promised to offer my suggestions for reducing gun crime in America, and I will, but there’s a problem with that. The issues we face can’t be dealt with in 800 words. When I started trying to decide in what order to address the areas that need fixing, I realized there are way too many problems to address in one column.
Looketh Unto the Hills…
Waxing biblical comes easily when one visits beautiful Colorado. If we “looketh up”--as the psalmists did--we can do them one better on the topic of elevation. In Psalm 121, they “lifted their eyes unto the hills” from which “cameth” their strength. How about gazing even higher--yea, toward the mountains, for relaxation and refreshment?

The Ceynowa household is still a crazy mess. John came home from the hospital on Wednesday. He has his good days and bad days. With the help of son Scott and grandson John, we now have an ambulance accessible home. I didn’t know you needed a 12 foot box for the ambulance to get to your house.

Next Monday, early voting begins in the City of Mason election. I cannot recall a time when we had so many candidates vying for seats on the Commission, though I've known several elections that were just as rife with angst and drama.
There are eight candidates running for three positions on the City Commission.
