This simple yet delicious loaf is from Mr. Leonti’s Brooklyn Bread Lab, and relies upon an overnight rest and fresh yeast to ensure the development of the sour, tangy flavor and chewy texture of sourdough bread without having to mess with “starter.” It’s a great bread, but you do have to plan ahead at least one day!

Lots of people have cast negative ballots, said tacky things and made disparaging gestures about the year 2020 in general. The unanimous verdict indicated that, as one West Texan put it, “Ain’t what we signed up for.”

Roy ‘Bubba’ Pfeil, hardworking and loving Christian father of two young sons at home and three grown daughters all raised in Mason, is a longtime Mason resident. Bubba works as a roofer, a demanding occupation. Bubba had brain surgery to remove a tumor Friday a week ago. He will be unable to work for at least three months, possibly longer.

I understand that not all of you have a bread machine, but this is a recipe that you can use even if you have to mix up the dough the old fashioned way. The resulting rolls are wonderfully light on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside.
